Huntingdon is a fairly large town with some old history. It is the birthplace of Oliver Cromwell and has connections to the diarist Samuel Pepys, the poet William Cowper, and Queen Katherine of Aragon.
Many old buildings, including two gothic style church buildings still exist. The second oldest, continueally inhabited house in England, called the Manor at Hemingford Grey (build in 1130) is located here.
