Sydney is located on Australia's south-east coast of the Tasman Sea. This is where I went during my 20 day vacation when I spent a year or so in Afghanistan.

This is actually at Dawes Point at the foot of the Syndey Harbor Bridge.
A schooner slowly approaches Fort Denison.  This was probably a common site when convicts were taken to the island.
Fort Denison, which can be seen from Mrs Macquaries Seat, was used in the early days of settlement as a place of punishment and confinement for the convict population. During the mid 19th century a fort was built on the island to protect Sydney Harbour.
